Who We Are
Founded in 1803, and named in honor of Thomas Worthington, Ohio's sixth governor—Worthington with its New England heritage—is a charming community of beautifully landscaped streets, quiet neighborhoods, historic homes and churches, an award-winning school system, and a vibrant business district. Many of the original buildings from the Worthington settlement are beautifully preserved and can be enjoyed during a walk through the city's downtown, aptly called Old Worthington.
Worthington offers a number of amenities to its residents, including a wide range of housing options, dining for every taste from casual to elegant, a Community Center, a Senior Center, and a 200-acre park system with 13 parks.
Worthington is located 9 miles north of downtown Columbus, and is in close proximity to Interstates 270 and 71, and Route 315.

- The Village Green The heart of Worthington, and the site for numerous public ceremonies and festivals, summer concerts, and the Farmers Market that runs every Saturday morning from May to October.

What We're Known For
- The Worthington Arts Festival Held each summer on the Village Green, this festival was ranked 35th in the top 100 fine art shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine, and is ranked the highest fine art show in Central Ohio.
