Who We Are
Marysville is a city of 16,000 residents, conveniently located 25 miles northwest of Columbus on U.S. Route 33. The county seat of Union County, Marysville was settled in the early 1820s, and today offers all the advantages of a modern metropolitan area as well as the charms of a more rural community. Due largely to its location and the fact that it is home to Honda of America Manufacturing, the city has seen a tremendous amount of residential development over the past several years. The city's administration and leaders are committed to maintaining Marysville's excellent quality of life by assuring that growth is orderly and productive.
A stroll through downtown Marysville will take you past charming Victorian architecture and the city's beautifully restored County Courthouse. Historic and established houses are conveniently located near the uptown area, which is home to a number of retail and specialty shops, restaurants, and professional and government offices. Marysville's narrow streets are lined with so many trees, the community is often called by its nickname: the Shaded Community.
