Economy
Named one of the top local economies in the United States, and the third fastest-growing major metropolitan area in the Midwest, Columbus shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The emerging 315 Research and Technology Corridor (which includes The Ohio State University, Battelle Memorial Institute, and all four of our major hospital systems) along with The Central Ohio Innovation Center of Dublin have made Columbus one of the top ten regions for technology.

Of the top 40 regional employers, 15 are in the high-growth industries of financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, information services, energy, and technology. And of the more than one million people working here, nearly 30% have Bachelor's Degrees and 10% have Master's Degrees—numbers that point to a healthy and prosperous future for the city.
